Post-doc researcher

As a researcher, I'm responsible for the Computer Vision / Machine Learning / Computer Graphics / Games section of the BlackBox project, investigating how motion tracking technology, visualization and gaming technology can be used to inform and document performing arts.

Previously, I did a doctoral research in Serious Games, Game Design, 3D Game Programming at Instituto Superior Técnico – IST/UTL (Lisbon), with the Visualization and Intelligent Multimodal Interfaces Group of INESC-ID. I have also participated in several EU-funded projects focusing on: Serious Games, Virtual Environments, Artificial Intelligence and Digital Storytelling. During my Ph.D I have lectured several courses of the BsCS and MSc in Information Systems and Computer Engineering at IST/UTL, addressing topics such as: Artificial Intelligence, 3D Simulation and Game Programming, Three-Dimensional Visualization and Animation, and Databases.
